COACHES  

Freddie Vasquez
Varsity Assistant Coach

Freddie is entering his first season with the Hawks Softball Program. Freddie played for Coach Powell for three years at Hardaway. He brings a wealth of baseball knowledge and intensity to the Hardaway Softball Program.
Freddie was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and came to the United States at the age of 14. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

He graduated as a Hawk in 1999 and attended college at CVCC for two years. He played baseball under Adam Thomas and then transferred to the University of West Alabama for two more years where he played under Gary Rundles. He graduated with a B.S.Ed degree in 2004.

Ken Paulk
Varsity Assistant Coach
Now in his 27 th year in education, Coach Paulk begins his second season with Lady Hawks softball. While head coach at Brookstone, his teams won a total of 201 games including four region/area titles, two State runners-up trophies, and the Georgia Class A championship in 2003. Coach Paulk has also coached football and J.V. basketball.

An army brat, Paulk has lived in California, Arizona, Texas, Mississippi, and, of course, the Peach State. He also spent four years in the Air Force, and his softball team at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas won the base championship. An avid traveler, Paulk has visited Thailand, England, Italy, and several other places in Europe.

Currently, Coach Paulk teaches economics and AP world history. He and his wife, Valerie, are the parents of Jason, a senior at UGA. Paulk also has a daughter, Robin, who is the mother of his only grandchild, Jayden. GO HAWKS!
