| Drama Club |
Hardaway's Drama Club is a group of dedicated students who enjoy supporting Hardaway's drama program. Each year the students participate in various activities such as performing in a pep rally, house/publicity crew, and fundraising as well as social activities like enjoying a dinner and a play. Drama Club also helps to coordinate the Drama Awards Night in May. With active participation in Drama Club, students may earn points that count toward International Thespian Society membership.
REQUIREMENTS 1) Students do not have to have any theatrical experience to join Drama Club just a good work ethic, the ability to work as a team, and a sense of humor! 2) Dues for Drama Club are $15.00 per year. All members will receive a student designed Drama Club T-shirt. 3) Students are required to attend all scheduled meetings. Non-attendance at one or more meetings without a written excuse could result in dismissal from the group. If a student is unable to attend a meeting it is his/her responsibility to contact Mrs. Giles or a Drama Club officer for missed meeting information. FACULTY DIRECTOR - Patricia A. Giles - Mrs. Giles earned her B.A. in Theatre from Columbus State University in 1985 and her M.F.A. in Directing Theatre from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 1989. She has been teaching and directing theatre for 20 years with students ranging in age from four through college. She has been at Hardaway since 2002 and enjoys the challenge of teaching and directing high school students. She has been married to her very patient husband Glen since 1987 and her three beautiful children Alan, Kayla, and Evan are her constant inspiration. Mrs. Giles can be e-mailed at pgiles@mcsdga.net.
