Technology/Career Education
Back to Departments

Technology/Career Education is a vital component of the total education of the individual.

Our purpose is to equip students with the academic, technical, and leadership qualities needed for the career of their choice. Technology/Career Education curriculum will provide students with marketable skills that can be applied immediately in the high tech workforce or built upon through higher education.

Currently only 15% of all jobs require unskilled labor and 20% of the jobs require a four-year college degree. Therefore, 65% of the jobs will require a technical skill. If only 20% of an average high school class will complete a four-year program, what classes should the other 80% of the students be taking? They need to take one of the technology classes listed here.
