Mrs. Kazue Kaneko Schmitz has been teaching Japanese language
courses, level 1 through 4, at Hardaway High School since 1997. She is a
native of Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan, and holds an Educational Specialist's
Degree
from Columbus State University. She also studied Japanese language
methodology at California State University, Long Beach, and is an AP
Japanese
language
certified teacher.
She has been actively involved in Japanese language competitions such as Japan Bowl, Foreign Language Spoken Contest, and Columbus State University Foreign Language Fair.
She is a member of the Chattahoochee Valley Foreign Language Alliance, Foreign Language Association of Georgia (FLAG), and American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language (ACTFL).

Grading Rules
- Homework - 15%
- In Class Participation/Assignments - 25%
- Project - 20%
- Quiz/Test - 20%
- Final Exam - 20%
Turning in Work
All work, homework, and project assignments must be turned in on time.
Any work turned in late will lose 7% each day from the grade on the paper or
project.
For example, on the second day, the most you can get is a 93, and the third
the most you can get is an 86, and so on.
Work not turned in on the 6th day will result in a zero.
