Your library staff
Dr. Self, Librarian; Mrs. Lukaseder, Media Specialist.
We encourage study and exploration of all the resources in the library. Our mission is to support the curriculum of Hardaway High School and to provide extracurricular reading materials to facilitate your growth, learning, and reading pleasure. To do so, we attempt to provide access to a wide range of current, interesting and appropriate information resources, and to ensure that all students, teachers,
and staff are effective users of ideas and information. If you need help in the library, please ask – we are here to help you. Please respect the needs of other users and follow the rules below. Thanks for your cooperation. We hope to see you often!

Procedures
How to keep our library running smoothly:
The library is open from 7:15 AM until 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Regular book check out period is two weeks. You may bring a book in and renew it if you need it longer.
Reference books and periodicals may be checked out overnight or over weekends and returned by 8 AM the next school day.
If you have an overdue book or owe fines greater than $1, you may not check out materials until you have returned the materials and paid your fine.
Fines are $.05 per day for regular checkouts and $.25 per day for reference books and periodicals.
You must have your student ID card around your neck to use the library facility or to check out any library materials.
All lost items must be paid for. At the end of the school year, report cards will not be mailed to students who have overdue items or owe fines in excess of $1.
Please allow enough time to complete your library use. We will not write late passes to class.
Rules
What you can do to make the library a pleasant place for everyone:
Speak quietly and behave in a manner consistent with study and reflection.
Do not bring food, candy, or drinks into the library.
Bring a written pass every time you come to the library – except for lunchtime when you may sign-in on the lunch roster.

Check out all items before leaving the library. Alarm sensors will sound if items are not properly checked out.
