The Hardaway High Teacher Cadet Program

The teacher of the Teacher Cadet Program, Mrs. Harding, stands with the first ever Teacher Cadet of the year, Katy Bridges.

What is the Teacher Cadet Program?
The teacher cadet program, also known as teaching as a profession, is an exploratory course that is offered to students, grades 11-12, that wish to pursue a career in teaching. This course is a great way to learn basic teaching information that will be very  beneficial to the students who will attend College. Students will also get a hands on experience of teaching by spending 40 hours at Clubview Elementary, helping out in the classrooms.

Why take the teacher cadet program
as an elective?

Why not?! This course offers an abundant amount of information that is not only beneficial to future teachers, but for all students. In this course, students will be able to expand their minds and do many projects that will improve their responsibility. Also, working with the children at Clubview Elementary not only expands the student's knowledge of the Muscogee County School District, but also allows them to fulfill a community service by helping out at schools. This elective allows students to be in a loving environment and allows them to learn many interesting things about teaching and learning. Please feel free to sign up for this beneficial elective. You won't regret it!
